FAQs regarding the new Hive dapp Dapplr, soon to be launched
A couple of days ago I was writing about @dapplr, an app that will need Android testers for the new dapp, on the hive blockchain, soon to be released!
As I have already joined the discord server (links at the end of this post) - there are some questions that I believe should be somewhere in plain sight (as a FAQ to be enriched with new information)
What is Dapplr?
Dapplr will be a mobile application with the below features:
Features Offered By Dapplr (Phase - 1 ) -
- Messaging, Audio and Video calls
- Themes
- Account Management (Transfer, Delegation etc)
- Feed and Communities Integration -
- Draft / Create a post
- Common Operations (Upvoting, Flagging, commenting, sending post to a friend, initiate conversations, search, explore other user profile
- Push Notifications - Sending out updates to the user using notifications.
- Referral system

At the moment this post is being crafted (11 July 2020) - testers will start with the Android version in the next two days while the creators are still waiting for apple to confirm the app.

Referral System (to be implemented)
How would a user earn Dapplr Tokens by referring other people?
Anyone can be a referrer and can invite as many people as he/she wants. The earning of the referrer will be based on the activity of the referred person on the blockchain. The more referred person earns the more earning a referrer would have.
You will earn 3% of the author rewards of the referral. e.g If your referral earns 100 Dapplr Tokens, you will receive 3% of 100 Dapplr tokens.
The author won’t be paying from its rewards, the 3% token will be credited from our Referral Pool.
The tokens will be airdropped on Dapplr Token launch.
For testers
Is there a limit for testers?
The team will be giving Android Alpha access to the first 100 people.
How can you become a tester?

Where will the testers be discussing?
Mainly at the channel #bugs in the above discord server
Will the testers be able to post publicly information regarding the app-testing, bugs etc?
Better to consult with the team first.
Will an IOS version be ready soon?
The app is waiting approval from the apple-store
How will the sign-in process be?
Dapplr does not store any of the private porting or active keys, hivesigner is used for Authorization
Will the testing posts be published on chain?
All the posts during testing will be published on main hive block chain
