Hidden in the quotes: Mr André Maurois

In the last years, in the online world, quotes are being seen everywhere!

Every social media channel and most of the social media managers post quotes very often. Beautiful images with inspiring words.

Words are meant to remind, to inspire, to motivate, to be funny, to teach, to be spiritual and more..!

But what is there, behind the words? Do we care who first came up with a small text including the most important conclusion from a theme analysis?

I have decided to always post something about the author, whenever I post a quote.

We owe it to them, to remember them or to get to know them.

So this time, we will learn about Mr André Maurois (real name: Émile Salomon Wilhelm Herzog)

André Maurois was born on 26 of July 1885 and as a young boy he and his family took refuge in Elbeuf, where the family owned a wooden mill.

For this mill, being brought from Alsace with the family, Maurois' grandfather was awarded with the Legion of Honour, as having saved a 'French Industry'

Maurois served during the World War I, as an interpreter. During the World War II he served in the French Army.

André Maurois was his pen name that became his legal name in 1947.

He wrote many novels, histories, children's books and science fiction stories. Many of his books are translated in English and Russian.

So, this time, the quote comes second to the author.

"Business is a combination of war and sport"

One's got to fight, and fight smart to achieve their goals.
