I managed to visit my city today .. after a long time of absence..
You may think that this post has nothing to do with LeoFinance, but please bear with me just a little longer

I made some great photographs of my city and then I went with my friend for lunch.

After a short while, an old man came in, holding 2 large blue bags that were bigger than him.
He was looking for buyers to sell his Cretan products. He was selling cheese, greens, zucchini blossoms and other stuff. Everyone pushed him away.
He came my way and I told him kindly "Thank you, but no"

He looked me in the eyes, and told me

• "I have a lot of burden on me. Please, buy something and make this weight lighter for me"

I asked for some wine-leaves and took out of my purse a 10-euro.

He said

• "It is 20 euros"

I was ...........

• .....................

20 euros for 2 packs of wine leaves? (We use these for making dolmades, a typical Cretan meal, stuffed vine leaves with rice and greens)

I did not take more time to think of it, I paid him and he left.

My friend was staring at me, like .. "Are you F@cking out of your mind?"
I was .. hm.. ok, it is a lot but think the joy I gave to this man, and also I never saw him before so ... its ok, I will find a way to earn this 20Euro back :)

When I left the restaurant, the waitress asked me .. "What were you thinking girl?" I was like "Ok, not a problem :) Thanks for having us here!"

I felt really bad, not for paying this amount, but for people knowing that I did.

Lessons I learned as a buyer

• Ask the price before buying anything
• Don't be embarrassed to deny
• If it makes you feel good, just do it.
• Don't care about what people say

Lessons I learned (as a seller)

Be so straight that people cannot tell you no
Look people in their eyes when you talk to them
Know your value
What is better? One time buyer and expensive or Multi times buyer and cheaper?

Sales is a very special sector and I believe we all should be aware of techniques and protect ourselves from mistakes

P.s. The vineleaves I bought were approximately 300 grammars, which I found that cost around 3 euros in the market :)
