Honey Bees play a very important role to our world and it is important that we have this information in order to play our part. Each an everyone of us can be responsible for saving a little part of our planet.

Why are bees so important?

It is estimated at at least 1/3 of our consumed food, relies on bees pollination. (of course other insects or birds play also their role) source

And if if does not look important enough, imagine how good they are to our economy :)

So, wait! What can we do to help bees?

• We could plant a bee garden, setting a safe spot for bees to find nutritious spots! (Remember one of their predators that I wrote about a few days ago?

• We could use less chemical and less pesticides, instead we can use organic products that are not dangerous to the honeybees (or to other beneficial species)

• You can research more about bees, learn and educate the ones around you! Don't keep the knowledge to yourself :)

• You could create a bee bath! As they are getting tired running all day to gather nectar, the bees will probably enjoy a nice and refreshing bath!

• Take some time to find out about local beekeepers and support them to continue their work for the local community!
