What's the first thing you see in this photo?

During my walk past this beautiful (but unfortunately abandoned) place, I felt someone looking at me.

No one was there, except of this cat resting on the empty table, filling the whole space with his presence. (don't ask me how, I know it is a he)

He was staring at me, probably thinking - "Go away now stranger - you are not supposed to be here."
I still remember his proud and superior look. The look of a genuine cat.

There are many stray dogs & cats in Heraklion. Many of them are catered for by Heraklion shops and citizens, still, there is a lot to do.

I plan to make a catalogue with all the shelters in Heraklion (and in Crete). This can be handy for people that happen to see any emergency and do not know what to do.

I was very unhappy at the moment. I saw a post on a social media platform, where someone mentioned that they saw a small dog with a hurt leg, and left it on a pavement. The dog was found a few hours later dead, under the same pavement.. So, just making a post about a hurting animal is not enough.

What are your thoughts about it?
