Upside Down Christmas Trees; A controversial trend that might just become a Christmas habit?
Maybe you have already seen a few fancy Christmas trees looking as if they are hanging of the ceiling, garmented with beautiful ornaments and bright lights? They have started popping out in social media, looking as the innovative trend. Well guess what. The trees are really hanging and …it seems that the trend is here to stay!

According to some, this brings a more creative touch in the Christmas decorations. For more than a few weeks, a number of social media posts are really dominating popular platforms such as twitter and instagram!
In the past few days we have seen such trees everywhere, from malls, houses, hotels! Karl Lagerfeld himself has designed an upside down tree for Claridge’s the art deco hotel in the heart of London.

These trees supposedly are not only eye-catching and trendy, but also serve other purposes as well!
1st. Apparently they leave more space for more presents..

2nd. They are ‘children’ and ‘pet’ safe as it makes more difficult for them to make a Christmas mess!

But how do you really open the presents when they are located on the ceiling?

4th. It is a very old tradition, so following traditions is a must, right?
As per information by Flare and the spruce this tradition goes back to the Middle Ages, when as a symbol of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, they used to put fir trees upside down. The trees would be decorated with flowers and food.
It seems that people either love it
or hate it
And if you were thinking about getting one, keep in mind that some of those trees cost from $150 up to $1000.
Now that you have read all about it, are you a lover or a hater?
Will you be hanging or flipping a Christmas tree?
Thank you for reading my story, I hope you enjoyed it!
Keep on steeming!
