Valentine's Day - the day that Voice decided to go live [only for US residents - verification requires a selfie as profile]

Remember the post about a survey before the official launch of the platform?
Well, it is supposed to launch today but apparently there are a few things that are not so nice.
They have sent another email at all their registered users, in which they mention the below
The platform will initially be available only for US-Residents
The content will be initially visible only to registered users (who will be staying at the US) - but is expected to be open for everyone in the coming weeks
The initial tokens to be rewarded to users will be reset
How about Verification?
I was very surprised to see this verification, as they mention at their email
Real verified identity is integral to Voice. You’ll notice that we’re using HooYu to confirm a) you’re a real person and b) reside in the United States.
You will be asked to take a selfie during Hooyu registration - this will, for now, be your profile picture on Voice, so don’t forget to smile.
How about this?
I feel really bad about having to post a selfie as a profile picture (if and when the platform will be available in Europe)
What do you think about it?
Would you? Will you?
I would love to know your thoughts
Ah, and Happy Valentine's Day!
