Valentine's Day - the day that Voice decided to go live [only for US residents - verification requires a selfie as profile]

Remember the post about a survey before the official launch of the platform?

Well, it is supposed to launch today but apparently there are a few things that are not so nice.

They have sent another email at all their registered users, in which they mention the below

  • The platform will initially be available only for US-Residents

  • The content will be initially visible only to registered users (who will be staying at the US) - but is expected to be open for everyone in the coming weeks

  • The initial tokens to be rewarded to users will be reset

How about Verification?

I was very surprised to see this verification, as they mention at their email

Real verified identity is integral to Voice. You’ll notice that we’re using HooYu to confirm a) you’re a real person and b) reside in the United States.
You will be asked to take a selfie during Hooyu registration - this will, for now, be your profile picture on Voice, so don’t forget to smile.

How about this?
I feel really bad about having to post a selfie as a profile picture (if and when the platform will be available in Europe)
What do you think about it?

Would you? Will you?

I would love to know your thoughts

Ah, and Happy Valentine's Day!
